Today the 1st grade class got to read to the residents at the nursing home.
Learning Farm Safety with FFA! On Monday, our elementary Huskies had a great time participating in FFA's SOFY (safety on the farm for youth) Camp! Students learned important lessons about electrical, tractor, grain bin, hunting, and animal safety. A big thankful to our FFA members for taking time to teach our students about these important farm lessons.
First Quarter Assembly Fun! Last Friday, our Huskies gathered for our first quarter assembly to celebrate accomplishments, recognize hard work, and have a little fun. We checked out our progress along the Oregon Trail, participated bug attack class competition, and celebrated our trail hand and trail leader award winners. We wrapped things up with our raffle ticket drawings for some exciting prizes! Westward, we continue to go following the Husky way!

Our classroom now has been invaded by creepy crayons. We spent the past three weeks reading about Jasper's creepy adventures.
Pioneer Cooking on the Oregon Trail! Congratulations to our 4th graders for reaching the FIRST major checkpoint on the PBIS Oregon Trail! To celebrate, our young pioneers enjoyed some pioneer cooking with a little help from Pioneer Beach. They also got to learn some interesting facts about pioneer cooking. Way to go 4th graders! Keep those wagons rolling and keep following the Huskie Way as we journey west.

Bridgewater Emery Boosters will be hosting a tailgate meal at the football game Friday, Oct. 16 vs Hanson.
Kindergarten had fun learning about what happens to leaves in the fall! We read "The Leaf Thief" and created a craft to go along with our story!
Our Huskies practiced being prepared this morning with a fire drill followed by a special fire safety assembly with our local firefighters. We learned the importance of fire safety and knowing what to do in an emergency. A big thank you to our firefighters for taking time out of their busy schedules to keep our Huskies safe!

Had a wonderful day at USD Wednesday with our All State Chorus representatives and alternate working hard to learn our music!
