Play-Doh Day in Preschool!

Mr. Thurys 5th grade class are on to part two of our chemistry unit. Students took their "cleaned" pennies and some of our salt & vinegar solution to transform a steel nail. We learned that you cannot destroy matter. The dark brown copper removed from the solution was still in the solution it just couldn't be seen with your eye. The steel nail collected it and created a coat of copper around it.
