Mr. Thury's class spent the day in Sioux Falls learning about the incredible filter system of our body, the kidney. Students had to create a filter that would separate the dirt and glitter from the water and beads in their test tube.
For lunch, we took a trip to the Empire Mall...and did a little bit of shopping and some time at the arcade.
Before our trip home, we got to learn about the most decorated battleship of World War II, USS South Dakota.

After building a hut for shelter, a bridge to reach food, and water tight containers to message for help, 4th Grade constructed Coconut Catapults to defend the island from Pirates....turned out pretty well 😍🌴🥥
